Rushie events!
Co-ordinator: Grace Francis (Me!)
Location: TBA
Date: 2008 [Exact date TBA]
Info: As of yet, I can offer no information, except for the fact that, after the success of the first Rushie Meet, I plan to organise another one for next year! This will be discussed with everyone on Geoffy's Live Journal group, and hopefully on his IMDb message board, too, in due course, but I believe that we'll either meet for the release of "Laundry Warrior", or (should Geoffrey decide to do it) for a performance of "Exit the King" in the UK starring the man himself! (A Rushie Meet where the man is present! How amazing would that be?)

The Gala featured a UK preview screening of Elizabeth: The Golden Age at the recently refurbished "Cinema City" in Norwich, with special appearances by Geoffrey Rush and the film's director Shekhar Kapur. The film was followed by a filmed Question and Answer session, and after the Q&A, there was a light buffet supper. To read my report of the day, click the link below:

The UK Rushie Meet was organised by myself and took place in Birmingham, where we met up and went to see Geoffrey's latest film Elizabeth: The Golden Age together, after which we went to Pizza Hut for an after-movie meal and some Rush-orientated discussion!
